Knock, Knock...

Watercolour and Ink

There's no doubt about it, I have a serious thing for doors! I'm often found lurking on ebay havin' a good ole nose, particularly of those from the Victorian and 1930's era. I could be walking down the street or gazing out the window of a bus curiously admiring doors in all their various sizes, shapes and colours. These were some doors that have taken my fancy, all from ebay. Is there anything that you have a fasination with? I'd be interested to hear!

Ohhh, I want a door just like the red one for my future house! Your drawings are always so enchanting... I love your use of bright colours, it's so pretty!

Lately I've been very fascinated with the Cottingley fairies. I'm reading a little book about the mystery right now. It's so interesting... I would love to visit Cottingley and see if I can find some fairies myself. <3

What lovely paintings! I love coloured doors, they always make me wonder about the people who live in the houses, the colour must reflect their personality!

I love doors too! When I walk down residential streets I'm always staring at everybody's front doors - I must look like a burglar 'casing the joint' or something. I also love drawing shirt collars and coats with hoods - not sure why! - and hair!

you can buy doors on ebay? news to me, very interesting. there's some great doors in a town next to mine, all brightly coloured next to some pastel ones. when i'm down next i'll get a sneaky snap if i can. my similar obsession would be fire hydrants
